Egyptian Coil Bracelet

After a few days of "being away" from wire wrapping, here is my next piece. My fingers were itching to do something, so I came up with this bracelet. It's really beautiful. I enjoyed making the coils and linking them to each other.

I used 18gauge silver artistic wire (that's the thickest gauge I have at the moment). Each piece of link is then hammered and bent into a "hook" and linked to each other. I completed this one with a bead in between the jump rings and S-shape clasp.
(Credit goes to Tina Gasperson for this beautiful bracelet.)

More Orchids

I have more photographs but couldn't possibly post them all here. Finally, after feasting his eyes on all the orchids there, my son finally bought a few pots of Phalaenopsis baby plants from Darren Yeo.

A Visit To The Agrotech Exhibition in Paroi, Seremban

Hi everyone,

Did you have a nice and pleasant week? I hope so. My son, Wesley, pestered me to accompany him to the Agrotech Exhibition in Paroi (Next to Stadium Paroi) to have a view of the orchid exhibitions held there. Not only orchids were on sale but other things like fruits, vegetables, animals, etc. were exhibited. This event is held from 23rd to 26th of July 2009.

Oh.....by the way, thanks to the two followers (you know who you are) who have been following my blog. Here are some pictures taken during our outing at the event.

That's me admiring the orchid plants. I wish I could cart all of them home!

These plants were already judged and given placings.

Pots of Phalaenopsis of various kinds.

Emi's Royal Batik Pendant

I completed this pendant a week ago but didn't have time to post it. Have always been attracted to intricate designs no matter what it is. This time it is Emi's design which is a beautiful and intricate piece of pendant based on Emi Kaz's Royal Batik Hoop Earrings.

I was a bit lazy in doing the earrings and used whatever beads I could find in my box, so the result is as below.

It is made with different gauges of silver artistic wires, pear shape rose quartz and swarovski crystals.

Corra's Love Knot Pipa Earrings & Pendant

Been busy for a couple of days as I was trying to complete Corra's Love Knot Pipa Earrings (decorshandmades.blogspot.com). I purchased her tutorial about two months ago but kept delaying myself from trying it out. I have tried many times to complete the earrings but it did not get beyond coiling the beads onto the frames. However, I was very determined to complete one side of it and I finally made a pair, though it looks a bit plumpy compared to Corra's.

I also made a pendant based on her technique.

Pendant is made with silver artistic wire, swarovski tear drop crystal and metal beads.

Made with silver artistic wire and tiny metal beads.
