Negeri Sembilan Handicraft ~ Kompleks Kraft Negeri Sembilan

30th May 2012, Wednesday

Hi ya, dear.
I know I've been very bad for neglecting my blog nowadays but I couldn't help it.  The first school semester is in its first week but I am still busy and couldn't find the time to relax.  Anyway, since I have no time to play with wire for the time being, I am sharing some photographs that were taken today on my visit to the Kompleks Kraft Negeri Sembilan as well as to the Perbadanan Kraftangan Malaysia in Ampang Tinggi, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan.  The purpose of the visit was to bring my son and his two school mates to gather as much as possible information on Ratttan Weaving (anyaman rotan),  interview with the proprietor, and to gather pictures for their history assignment for submission for their PMR examination.

There are many more photographs but shared here are some that are not in order, though.

Now...back to 101 things that I have to do.

Bead Embroidered Earrings

15th March 2012, Thursday

It was raining dogs and cats yesterday, so with nothing much to do I experimented with bead embroidery and managed to complete  these two pairs of earrings on leverbacks.

Ok, I can feel a headache coming .... better pop an aspirin and hit the sack earlier tonight.

Have a nice Thursday!

Handmade Chainmaille Earrings & Bracelet

Hiya, dear.  Today is Wednesday, 4th of March 2012.
Remember I blogged previously on deciding whether to do bead weaving, bead embroidery or playing with wires..... I've decided to play with wires for a while and this is what I came up with ..... chainmaille jewelry.  I had wanted to do this design (Romanov)  long before I did the other chainmaille designs ~ the mobius, byzantine, love knots, etc.

The jump rings were done from natural copper artistic wire by coiling  on a jump ring mandrel and then cut cut, opened and closed one by one to form this design.

Well.... that's about all I have to share for now.  Next on my list is doing bead embroidery, maybe a pair or two of earrings.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week ahead!

Bead Weaving & One Messy Table

Hi ya, dear.  Today is Sunday, 4th of March 2012 and am lazying around in the house.  Two children are out of the house, with one in Malacca and the other participating in a S & M camp in Port Dickson.   The house is so peaceful except for the sound from the idiot box  and my daughter's cutlery clanking occasionally on the plate.

At the moment, while blogging about this, I am contemplating between doing bead weaving, bead embroidery or playing with the wires, or nothing at all.  The "garden" outside is full of weeds and I am also comptemplating whether or not to clean it up.  It's so hot outside now ..... maybe I'll do the weeding in the evening when it's not too hot ;).

Well, anyway, here's some photos to share with you what I've done during the past week ... beaded bracelet.

Bead weaving with seed beads.  Did this many times before I got the pattern correct and it's so taxing on my  eyes.  The result .... two beautiful beaded bracelets.   Got this free pattern from www.sandradhalpenny.com and there are many free patterns available.

One messy table!

Ok, that's about all am blogging for this week.  Hope to come out with something new and now back to my messy table.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
