Hello ... I am making my "appearance" again after a lapse of nearly a month.
Here's a pair of earrings which I crafted using silver plated wire. The two triangle components are joined together in the middle with amethyst beads and thinner gauge wires were purposely tangled to form the base as part of the earring design.
I wonder what name should be given to this earrings...... Let's call it

Inspired by a flower pendant I bought years ago, led me to create this tutorial which I've released and is now listed in my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/emilysecretpassions as instant download in PDF file.
This tutorial is suitable for a beginner who already have basic wirework skills or for those who just want to have fun making it. It teaches how to make this free-form flower link from a long wire that is twisted together, and then hammered, to form the flower. The main photo above shows how it is used in a beaded necklace and a pair of dangle earrings but this tutorial also has a step by step instructions on how to make a pair of twisted flower ear studs to match the necklace.
You can create other designs from just this flower link ~ namely necklace, bracelet, earrings, lariat, choker, pendant and even a book mark.
I'll bet you just can't stop at making one!
A Flower Pendant Inspired Me

A flower pendant that I bought from Vincci many, many years ago inspired me to make a flower made from twisted wire. I have never used any other kinds of wire except colour coated copper artistic wire, so when I thought about making this flower, I thought about twisting the wire to get the twisted design and then hammering it to get a flat surface. The funny thing is that I have never worn the necklace which I have kept in my dressing table drawer for many years ....... meaning even before I started my wirework journey.

And this ..... a beaded necklace with the twisted wire flower links as part of the design.
One can create many types of jewelry from this multi-purpose twisted wire flower link ~ namely necklace, bracelet, earrings, lariat, choker, pendant, brooch and even a bookmark.

A Pair of Vintage Ear Clips

Found this pair of vintage-looking mixed-media ear clips while I was cleaning my late mum's possessions. It is made with wire, has coloured plastic pearls and raffia strings that has been weaved into the design to form leaves.
I think this ear clips are more than 50 years old if I'm not mistaken! I've seen them stashed away in my mum's jewelry box when I was a little girl. My mum may have bought them when she was a young lady but I have never seen her worn them.
Anyway, it's gonna be mine now. :D

Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Wire Wrapped Celtic Ear Studs

A customer of mine shared this photo via email last November and I decided to share it here in my blog. She ordered from me my first celtic design ear studs and some wire wrapped pendants 4 years ago. Yup, you heard it right ......... it was 4 years ago and she told me that the ear studs and other items in her possession are still in good condition and that the anti-tarnish copper colour coated wires used to make them have also not lose it's shine.
It showed that she has been taking good care of the pretties all these while. She recently ordered some more pretties to be made for herself and as well as for gifting. Thank you, dear (I do not want to mention name but you know who you are) for your support all these years.

Teardrop Shape Coiled Filigree Earrings (Gift for a Bride)

Hi everyone! How has it been? I know I've been staying from my blog for quite awhile now. Call me lazy if you want ..... Actually, it was my handphone that was giving me the trouble. I took quite a lot of photos but it just wouldn't let me upload them to the computer. So, looks like I have to use the camera to snap photos of my pretties from now onwards.
Was also quite busy during the last semester school break of 2013 doing a little bit of this and that and took a week-long vacation in Singapore, for which I have not visited since my eldest son was 7 months old (19 years ago). Now it's the month of January of 2014, year of the horse. Generally, 2013 was extremely good, being that I created quite a few wire jewelry tutorials and opened an Etsy Shop to sell my tutorials. I wonder what the year of the wood horse will bring me this year ...... Anyway, it's still too early to tell what's gonna happen, right?
Here's are a few photos I managed to upload from my camera of a pair of teardrop shape coiled filigree earrings which I completed in record time of 5 hours before wrapping it up for gifting to a bride that particular evening.
