Hello, hello ...... Welcome home to myself
9th May 2015 (Saturday) @ 9.07am
Gosh! It's been about 4 long months since I last updated my blog. Been busy doing this and that in between those months. I've also been away far too long from wire jewelry crafting and have been doing a little bit of crocheting and trying to learn new stitches. I've only known how to do the basic crochet stitches like the single crochet, double crochet and was not really aware of other stitches/patterns like the broomstick, ribbed, hairpin lace, chevron, star, etc. etc....
Anyway, here are two photos of the filigree coiled earrings which I last crafted just for sharing. It's been listed for sale in my Etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/emilysecretpassions together with my other wire jewelry making tutorials.
100% crafted with silver plated anti tarnish artistic wire and Swarovski bicone crystals.
Alrite, now going back to finishing a scarf I crocheted this week. Hope to update again soon with photos of the scarf.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Hello to January 2015
4th January 2015
Hello everyone! I know I have not been very productive for the year 2014 and has been lacking behind in updating my blog. I hope to come back to it soon after I have some personal affairs settled and everything back to "really normal" in my life.
The year 2014 in my opinion has not been good to me and as I am typing this post, my mind is wandering to the affairs that I have to solve. I can't help but to say I have sleepless nights and loss of appetite over this.
So, I am taking this opportunity to make this short announcement that I would be taking a very, very long break from updating my blog until I sort out the affairs. I will not be crafting jewelry but for those who are interested in purchasing my wire jewelry tutorials, you may go to my etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/emilysecretpassions. If you have any inquiries, you can email me at emilytanmeisin@yahoo.com and I will get back to you ASAP, provided my internet connection is not down.
Thank you for reading this and for being patient with me.
I would also like to this this opportunity to wish everyone who comes across this blog
Happy New Year 2015

Hello there. How is everyone getting on? The school holidays in Malaysia are here to stay until January 4th, 2015 and X-mas is just about a month away. I have been absorbed with crochet amigurumi and away from wire jewelry crafting for way too long. This is a new found hobby and am quite addicted to it.
I will be sharing only these photos of a family of owls which I did over a period of time
and two bunnies sitting in the compound of my garden.
The patterns for the owl and white easter bunny was obtained free from www.craftpassion.com and is the brainchild of Ms Lee Mei Li of Malaysia. She has several other free patterns, so pop over to craftpassion.com or to her blog www.amigurumei.com to know more about her and her work.
Another amigurumi doll is in the making and I will share the photo once I've completed it. I hope to go back to wire jewelry crafting as soon as I can "detach" myself from this new hobby.
Thank you for reading and have an enjoyable and productive week ahead.

Crochet Amigurumi Owls

8th November 2014 (Saturday) @ 5.13pm
Hello. As I've mentioned in my previous post, I will make an attempt at crocheting amigurumi dolls. So, here is the cute little Mr Murusaki owl dolls which I completed awhile back.
Two cute owls with eyes closed hiding on a mango tree branch and on the grass patch outside my compound. The orange one is wearing a hat because it has a "bump" on its head and doesn't want anyone to know about it. And the blue one is just as satisfied accompanying it's friend perching on the branch.
This owl free pattern is obtained from www.craftpassion.com and is created by our very own Malaysian crocheter, Miss Lee Mei Li of Amigurumei on Facebook. There are also other free patterns on the mentioned website. She also has her book "Hello Kitty Crochet" (in English) released recently. Pop over to her facebook page if you want to know more about her and her work.
This is the only pair of earrings I recently completed after being away for too long from wire crafting. The earrings are crafted with anti-tarnish silver plated artistic wire and embellished with hemimorphine gemstone briolette as focal and unakite round beads surrounding the lace-like outer frame.
Kindly email me if you have any inquiry on the above.
Thanks for reading this and have a wonderful weekend every one.
Crochet Granny Square Mini Handbag

3rd September 2014 (Wednesday) @ 11.58am
Well, this is what I finally ended up with. Yay :) a granny square mini handbag. I will not be using it but will serve as a prototype when I make a bigger handbag out of bigger granny squares in future.
Another project in the making ..... maybe a zippered pouch. I thought I would be using up all the coloured threads but alas, I still have plenty of them. Instead of getting rid of them by crocheting, I ended up buying other yarns as well to try on my next, next project .... amigurumi.
Well, that's it for the time being. Until then, have a nice week ahead!
