Handmade ~ Crochet Covered Stones (Mixed Media: Stone/Thread)
Labels: Crochet Jewelry, Others | at 7:13 PM
22nd March 2013 (Friday) @ 9.58am
I am so totally in love with this - Crochet Covered/Lace Stones. I've been eyeing on the crochet covered stones for as long as I can remember after seeing them on Pinterest and Etsy and just had to try it out myself. So, with some stones in the garden and some left over balls of thread from previous projects, I started crocheting without delay.
I made one and couldn't stop and ended up with this lot! They are now sitting on top of the coffee table in my living hall.
They are great as pretty decorations in the home, as paperweight or if very large, as a door stopper. They also make awesome, unique, handmade gifts.
Okay, I am definitely making myself some more of these!!! =) And looks like I am going to use up all the stones I have in the garden and if that is not enough, I will have to go and source for the stones.
Thank you for visiting and reading this. Have a wonderful weekend every one !!

Handmade Wirework Jewelry ~ Green Grass Turquoise Filigree Pendant
11th March 2013 (Monday) @ 9.15am
I think I've been doing
a lot of this coiled filigree pendant lately. My previous post was also a filigree pendant. I made quite a few of them as gifts, too. I guess I have found my signature style in wirework jewelry crafting since I took this up in the year 2009. I have always like to do intricate looking pieces (to me, that is)
This one is done on a 30mm long x 22mm wide x 7mm deep green grass colour turquoise gemstone cabochon (AA grade quality). The coiled filigree links and knitted bezel surrounding the cabochon was crafted using natural copper artistic wire (USA) and adorned with swarovski bicone crystals and jade beads.

Feedback for Free Tutorial on Wire Wrapped Beaded Earrings
Hi there! I'm back! =)
Just a short announcement on my free tutorial on
Wire Wrapped Beaded (Stud) Earrings in my blog.
Recently, I received an email from Cheryl H. and this is what she wrote:
"I love the free tutorial on the Wire Wrapped Beaded Stud Earrings. I have a question though. I do not have a jump ring mandrel, but I do have a ring mandrel. Can you tell me, if possible, where I would use the wire on it ... what I mean is at what point on the mandrel would I wrap the earrings? Or is there anything else I could use to wrap the wire?"
Thank you Cheryl for bringing this to my attention.
