Amigurumi ~ animals

27th November 2014 (Thursday) @ 1.32pm

Hello there.  How is everyone getting on?  The school holidays in Malaysia are here to stay until January 4th,  2015 and X-mas is just about a month away.  I have been absorbed  with crochet amigurumi and away from wire jewelry crafting for way too long.  This is a new found hobby and am quite addicted to it.

I will be sharing only these photos of a family of owls which I did over a period of time
and two bunnies sitting in the compound of my garden.

The patterns for the owl and white easter bunny was obtained free from www.craftpassion.com and is the brainchild of Ms Lee Mei Li of Malaysia.  She has several other free patterns, so pop over to craftpassion.com or to her blog www.amigurumei.com to know more about her and her work.

Another amigurumi doll is in the making and I will share the photo once I've completed it.  I hope to go back to wire jewelry crafting as soon as I can "detach" myself from this new hobby.

Thank you for reading and have an enjoyable and productive week ahead.

Crochet Amigurumi Owls

8th November 2014 (Saturday) @ 5.13pm

Hello.  As I've mentioned in my previous post, I will make an attempt at crocheting amigurumi dolls.  So, here is the cute little Mr Murusaki owl dolls which I completed awhile back.

Two cute owls with eyes closed hiding on a mango tree branch and on the grass patch outside my compound.  The orange one is wearing a hat because it has a "bump" on its head and doesn't want anyone  to know about it.  And the blue one is just as satisfied accompanying it's friend perching on the branch.

This owl free pattern is obtained from www.craftpassion.com and is created by our very own Malaysian crocheter, Miss Lee Mei Li of Amigurumei on Facebook.  There are also other free patterns on the mentioned website.  She also has her book "Hello Kitty Crochet" (in English) released recently.   Pop over to her facebook page if you want to know more about her and her work.

This is the only pair of earrings I recently completed after being away for too long from wire crafting.  The earrings are crafted with anti-tarnish silver plated artistic wire and embellished with hemimorphine gemstone briolette as focal and unakite round beads surrounding the lace-like outer frame.

Kindly email me if you have any inquiry on the above.

Thanks for reading this and have a wonderful  weekend every one.
