What have I been doing lately? Do read on .......
Thank you all for checking and reading my blog regularly even if you don't find anything new in it. I am a bit "lost" since the demise of my mother recently and couldn't find the right mood to start on any projects. You know the feeling you get when you lose someone very dear to you. When she was around, she would be sitting on her favourite rattan chair beside my work station, watching me do my crafts. She would also give comments whenever I completed an item.
So, what is going to happen next? I don't know ...... On the other hand, I've been neglecting my own health so much that I'm feeling rather tired and lethargic and feeling not refreshed even after a night's sleep. At this moment, I am into my 4th day of 6th day liver and gallbladder detox programme. I guess it is still not too late to try some other body detoxification programme.
Prepared the juice for my consumption this morning.
Here is the recipe for the
LIVER & GALLBLADDER DETOX PROGRAMME
(got this from the internet, by a Dr Lai Chiu-Nan)
1st to 5th day
* take 4 glasses of green apple juice (or bottled apple juice) everyday or
eat 4 to 5 apples, whichever you prefer. (Apple juice softens the gall stones).
Take your meals normally.
6th day
* at 6pm: 1/2 tsp of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) with glass of warm water.
* at 8pm: Repeat the same (Epsom salt opens up the bile ducts)
* at 10pm: take 1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil/sesame oil & 1/2 cup (125ml) of fresh lemon juice (or bottled lemon juice)
(The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage)
7th day
You will know whether there are gallstones in the gallbladder
when you move your bowel on this day.
I use fresh apples/lemons for juicing because I don't like the bottles ones which is I think is sugar concentrated and with preservative. If you are lazy to do the juicing yourself, by all means, get the bottled ones from organic shops or supermarkets. Epsom salt can also be purchased from the organic shops.
Next on my list would be to control blood sugar level and the recipe for it is given below.
TO CONTROL BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL
(DRINK ONCE A DAY)
Juice the following:
1/2 cucumber
1 green apple
1/2 bitter gourd
2 ribs of celery
1/2 green capsicum
I got this recipe from the internet, too.
So, do I start on my project right after this ..... ?
My mind is impulsively saying "yes" but my body is saying "no", so I am going to listen to my body. It is all about knowing what my priorities are. It may even help to write them down in order of importance because there is something satisfying about crossing them off on my "to do" list.
My work station is messed up with lots of things on it ...... beads that I have not used and wanted to try out, some old pretties that I wanted to recycle, used wire scraps, crochet strings, beads that I want to destash, sketches/drawings of jewelries that came up in my mind while lifting through the pages of magazines or while watching television, etc.. etc....
This is the squarish table that I use to work on my crafts and
it has served me good for 4 year already.
Well, the table is not so messy after all.
I've just put a few things away before snapping this photo.
Here are some random pictures that I just want to share with you all.
My son assisting me in photo shooting of my jewelry. Oh .... he doesn't do this for me all the time. He is just trying out his newly acquired semi-pro camera. He is good at what he is doing. Go to www.facebook.com/Wesleytanphotography to see his photos. All the photos that you see in this blog is photographed by me using the trusted Nokia N97 handphone camera and it is about to crush out on me anytime soon. Wondering which handphone to get next should this one give me problem.
I have the cat(s) for company whenever I am cooking at the back section of the house. They will come in and out as they wish, taking a short-cut from my kitchen to the hall and out to the front porch.
This is the most recent photo taken during my outing with my children to the Butterfly & Reptile Farm, Air Keroh, Malacca.
Well ... that's about all that I can share for the time being.
Thank you for reading this and do check me out from time to time.
Have a wonderful and productive weekend and take care!!
