Egyptian Coil Bracelet
After a few days of "being away" from wire wrapping, here is my next piece. My fingers were itching to do something, so I came up with this bracelet. It's really beautiful. I enjoyed making the coils and linking them to each other.

A Visit To The Agrotech Exhibition in Paroi, Seremban
Labels: Off Topic Rambles | at 7:29 PM
Hi everyone,
Did you have a nice and pleasant week? I hope so. My son, Wesley, pestered me to accompany him to the Agrotech Exhibition in Paroi (Next to Stadium Paroi) to have a view of the orchid exhibitions held there. Not only orchids were on sale but other things like fruits, vegetables, animals, etc. were exhibited. This event is held from 23rd to 26th of July 2009.
Oh.....by the way, thanks to the two followers (you know who you are) who have been following my blog. Here are some pictures taken during our outing at the event.

Emi's Royal Batik Pendant
I completed this pendant a week ago but didn't have time to post it. Have always been attracted to intricate designs no matter what it is. This time it is Emi's design which is a beautiful and intricate piece of pendant based on Emi Kaz's Royal Batik Hoop Earrings.
I was a bit lazy in doing the earrings and used whatever beads I could find in my box, so the result is as below.

Corra's Love Knot Pipa Earrings & Pendant
Been busy for a couple of days as I was trying to complete Corra's Love Knot Pipa Earrings (decorshandmades.blogspot.com). I purchased her tutorial about two months ago but kept delaying myself from trying it out. I have tried many times to complete the earrings but it did not get beyond coiling the beads onto the frames. However, I was very determined to complete one side of it and I finally made a pair, though it looks a bit plumpy compared to Corra's.
I also made a pendant based on her technique.
Handmade Beaded & Woven Bags

These bags that you see here was made by me when my youngest two children were still toddlers. I had lots of time on my hand to indulge in my hobby. I had forgotten all about them as they were stashed away in a drawer in another room, so I thought I might as well post them in my blog. This hobby of mine including needlework, especially cross-stitch (thread and seed beads) has since long been forgotten. Still have lots of beads and DMC threads stashed away in a box. Some items have found new owners as I tend to give away when I do not have storage for them.

Swirls of Love - Stud Earrings
I created this pair of bold stud earrings that are intricate and very fashionable based on Emi Kaz's tutorial. Bought the tuts some time ago, but didn't have time to start this project until about a week ago. This is my third attempt at it and the nicest pair of all.
Special thanks: Emi Kaz
Tree of Life Pendant
My first Tree of Life Pendant was done with gemstone chips on a round frame but this time I did it again on a rectangle frame. It's made with various gemstone chips and a dragonfly charm attached to it. I was very disappointed with the outcome of this pendant as it didn't look like a tree at all to me.
Thanks to BeadStudio for the tutorial.
Bird's Nest Pendant
Purposely took these photos of the red lantern in my car porch a few days ago. As you can see, a pair of sparrow made their nest in the lantern. Mind you, this is not the first time birds are making their nest there. Previously, I took down the lantern to clear the nest and now they're building it again. I supposed the birds found a cosy and comfortable place to build their home. Can't wait to see their eggs.
I tried to snap a photo with the sparrow perched on top of the lantern, but every time I go out, it flew away.
