Hi ya, dear.
So, the world didn't come to an end after all and we have survived the end of the world apocalypse predicted by the Mayans. As the last day of the year approaches, it provides an opportunity to pause and reflect. Looking back at the year, I usually recall my goals for the year and my progress in relation to those goals.
The past couple of months has been a busy one ..... attending a former school reunion gathering, writing wirework jewelry tutorials (for beginner's wire jewelry class which I conducted from home as well as for submission to an online jewelry making site) , crafting jewelries, trying to find my own jewelry signature style, entertaining immediate family members, etc.
While typing this, I also have the rice being cooked in the rice cooker, a pot of soup simmering in the multi-purpose cooker, dirty clothes being washed and churning in the washing machine, browsing the newspaper in between the lines (I am a freak multi-tasker), having the house painted (not by me but the painter), and checking on the painter from time to time so that they do a perfect job of painting my wall.
The living room is bare of all furnitures and fittings and that leaves the room easier for the painter to carry out their work. Right from where I'm sitting I can see my "work table" in the car porch with a project which I temporarily abandon.
I will be busier than ever when the new school semester commence on 2nd January 2013 and wondering whether I will still have time to do my crafting as well to write more tutorials.
Have a blessed new year every one and may 2013 be a great year for you and your family.
Happy New Year to all!
Merry Christmas To One and All

Crochet Jewelry ~ Beaded Rope Lariat
Labels: Crochet Jewelry | at 7:35 PM
15th December, 2012 (Saturday) @ 11.21am
Hi peeps, how are you? It's been a busy month although it's the school semester break. I've been trying to complete the items on my "To Do" list and hope to do it before the year ends. New school semester will begin on the 1st week of January 2013 and its back to "work" again for me.
Anyway, here's something I want to share......
A bead crochet rope lariat with leave fringe
It's something that I promised a friend and long overdue.
Stringing a length of about 16 feet of white seed beads
on a 100 yards of cotton thread.
Crocheting the seed beads into a rope.
Adequate length, ready to weave the leave fringe onto it.
In the midst of weaving the leaves.
The completed bead crochet rope lariat.
Okay, right after this I will have to put my mind to editing the step by step photos of my wirework pendant tutorial and hope to submit it to the editor of www.diybeadingclub.com before end of this month.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful holiday ahead!

29th November, 2012 (Thursday) @ 2.43pm
I made this Wire Wrapped Bead with Swarovski Pearls Necklace
for myself and wore it to my former school reunion gathering.
I was inspired by Antonija Gospic's Wire Wrapped Bead (www.galleriadivina.etsy.com) and decided to make one for myself the night before the event. Instead of making many more wire wrapped beads, I decided to go with one and complete the necklace with Cream coloured Swarovski Pearls of various sizes.
Thanks for dropping by!

Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Wire Wrapped Black Obsidian Filigree Brooch
9th November, 2012 (Friday) @ 3.33pm
Crafted with gunmetal artistic wire, this Black Oval Obsidian & Oriental Crystals (donut shape in white/orange) was stitched onto the netted background of the oval frame. I then coiled a considerable length of wire to make interconnecting loops to make the filigree-like design for the top and bottom sections.
Measurement
4.2cm x 3.2cm
Do email me if you're interested.
Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Chainmaille Bracelets
23rd October, 2012 @ 4.33pm
Completed these chainmaille bracelets recently. The rings on the bracelets are handmade and not store-bought. It takes a lot of time to coil the wire, cut, twist to open and close each ring and get them connected into a design. These bracelets are finished off with handforged clasp.
They can be made into a ring, necklace, pendant and many more.
Inca Puno or Box Chainmaille Bracelet
with Banded Agate Gemstone Focal Bead.
In the same style but much more simple without the bead.
Two other designs (top & bottom) with 4mm cube glass beads.
Beads can be substituted with pearls, crystals or gemstone beads.
Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Turquoise Filigree Earrings
21st October 2012, Sunday @ 4.36pm
Hi ya, dear. Woohoo.... it's raining very heavily outside now and as I can remember the rain came pouring down daily for the past two weeks. I am contemplating on whether to take a short nap or continue with wire jewelry crafting. In addition, have to think of how to incorporate beads into a "masculine" type for bracelets.
Anyway, here's my latest design .... Turquoise Filigree Earrings done in Natural Copper.
Measurement of filigree component ~ 3.6cm x 2.5cm
Measurement from top of ear wire to bottom of filigree component ~ 5.2cm
This pair will be made upon request.
Please allow a few days for me to complete them before despatch.
Contact me via email or facebook should you have any questions/inquiries.
A little bit of this and a little bit of that ....
7th October, 2012 (Sunday)
Hi ya, dear. I know I've been a bit lagging behind in updating my blog as I've been extremely busy (the same excuse, again but it's true!) and maybe some of you may think that I've stopped blogging/updating my blog for good.
Many things that been struck off from my "Things To Do" list and I am satisfied and happy to say that I've come out with tutorials for my Beginner's Wire Jewelry Class which I conducted from home. I also submitted two wire jewelry tutorials recently to Ms Jane Chew of www.Handmade-Jewelry-Club.com
Sunburst Earrings Tutorial
Victoria Rose Earrings Tutorial
So, if you're interested in learning the above, kindly visit www.DiyBeadingClub.com to purchase it.
I have two free tutorials here in my blog, filed under earring and ring respectively for beaded ear studs & adjustable beaded ring.
Planning to write further tutorials for my Intermediate Level Wire Jewelry Class as well as for submission to Jane. I wonder what was I thinking when I said "yes' to Jane when she asked me whether I could submit further tutorials.
Now ... have to go back to my "To Do List" right after this and put on my thinking cap on what jewelry tutorial to do next.
Thanks for reading this post and have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
Beginner's Wire Jewelry Class

23rd September 2012 (Sunday)
Conducted another Beginner's Class today for Ms Kogila. She initially had her jewelries made by me but somehow or rather she got very interested and wanted to learn from me. She completed her tasks in about four and a half hours based on my tutorials and is seen here crafting the earrings.
Ms Kogila shares picture of the bracelet and earrings
Thanks for reading this and have a wonderful and productive week ahead.
Beginner's Wire Jewelry Class
Labels: Wire Jewelry Class | at 1:39 AM
21st September, 2012 (Friday)
I conducted a Beginner's Wire Jewelry Class last Monday for Puan Nurbaini. She "found" me while surfing the net for handmade jewelries and asked whether I could arrange a class for her. Since I had conducted two classes previously, Puan Nurbaini was very excited when I said yes. It took me quite a while to write two tutorials as I was also preoccupied with other things. On the day of the arranged date, she took less than 4 hours to finish the bracelet and earrings, considering that she had zero wire experience. These are photos that I took of her in full concentration and of her work.
Wrap-Me-Around Earrings
Curly Coil Bracelet
Alrite, back on track to my "To Do List" and thank you for dropping by.
Have a wonderful week!

Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Freshwater Pearls (Custom Orders)
2nd September 2012 (Sunday)
Hi ya, dear. While updating this, I am listening to songs to unwind myself from the "stress" I've been facing. I was rather busy with family commitments for the past 3 weeks or so, hence the neglect in updating my blog. There were too many things to do and I have just struck out a few items on my "To Do List", however, there are still more items which I hope to accomplish. Anyway, here are a few pics of custom made pieces I've completed since the past 3 days.
A neighbour brought a strand of 109 pieces of freshwater pearls and wants it to be divided into making 3 necklaces. The holes in the pearls were too small for thicker gauge wire, so I had to use a small gauge wire which is strong enough to craft the necklaces.
A simple stringing
Wire wrapped pearls with swirly links
Wire wrapped herringbone with swirly links & pearl drops
Now, back to the items on my list ....... and the 101 things to do once the week starts again.
Thanks for dropping by & have a wonderful week.

Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Jasperina Pendant (A gift)
13th August, 2012 (Monday)
Another piece of wire wrapped jewelry which I managed to complete before the Hari Raya Aidil Adha. I used the same type of cabochon (Ocean Jasper) but this design is different from the piece that I had made earlier.
I'll be making a matching long chain for the pendant right after this.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week ahead!
Handmade Wire Jewelry ~ Jasperina & Rozalina Wire Wrapped Pendants
25th July, 2012 (Wednesday)
Hi ya, dear. Hope all of you who has been following or reading my blog is in good health and in high spirits. The same couldn't be said of me as I've been under the weather since yesterday when I caught the flu bug from my son and I am now suffering from sore throat, cough, fever and a bad headache.
I realised that I've been crafting pendants and these two are the latest I've completed. Normally I don't make this type of pendant but I've always like to do something intricate with lots of filigree-like links on the outer frame.
Well, anyway, they will be given as gifts to my friends who will be celebrating their Hari Raya Aidil Adha next month, right after the fasting month.
JASPERINA PENDANT
The above is an Ocean Jasper Gemstone Cabochon and crafted with natural copper artistic wire with a long chain to match. I've also attached some beads, namely dyed jade in vintage rose pink/green and oriental crystals in orange and green colour.
ROZALINA PENDANT
I managed to snap only a picture of this pendant. The focal is a Rose Quartz Marquise shape bead and crafted with natural copper artistic wire with dyed jade in pink, amethyst, swarovski crystals and oriental crystals. This pendant also comes with a matching long chain entirely handforged.
If there is anyone interested in the above designs, please do not hesitate to email me with your request.
Alrite .....gotta make a visit to the clinic right after I finish posting.
Thanks for dropping by and have a great week ahead!
